Writing On The Wall, or Cupboard or Table......you get the idea.

It would appear that I may have a bit of an
obsession with chalk boards...

This is in our living room.

wardrobe in the bedroom.

The cool thing is you can paint ANYTHING, well almost anything,
with chalkboard paint and have a way cool new piece to doodle on.
Heck, I have seen an old fridge turned chalkboard and it was really working!
I mean why not?  If you have an ugly old fridge... go for it.
Transform that bad boy with a fresh coat of chalkboard paint!

kitchen wall
Our chalkboard wall in the kitchen has been a huge success over
the years with all the kids that seem to gather at our house. They just grab some chalk
and go to town.
Only down side is all that chalk dust hits the woodwork and floor.
Not a big deal, just not my favorite part because it requires me to get on the floor and
clean it up and lets be honest...
Who among us likes to clean up?
Not I.

in the family room

I do like to switch it up from time to time and change the words and sayings.
Nothing stays in the same for to long in our house.
If your looking for cute chalkboard sayings, Pinterest is where it's at.
They have a plethora of ideas.
Now go get creative/think outside the box,
and find something fun to transform into a chalkboard.
And don't forget to pick up some chalk!

Coop Crazy

Someday/year I WILL be getting some chickens
at This'll Do..
and when that day/year comes,
I'm thinking their coop should look
a little something like this....

One thing is for sure... my chicken house WILL have a chandelier.
When mentioning this to my family, they
looked at me like I'D flown the coop!
Bwahhhh Hahaahha!

This car coop doesn't really fit the criteria, but I couldn't resist..
It's just weird enough that I kinda like it.

And we all know that THIS is what I would look like while tending to
those chickens....
right????

Little Bit of This and That

I washed all of our bedding over the weekend
and what is it about crawling into bed
with crisp, freshly washed sheets?

I've been having some problems with my back
for the last few weeks so that makes bedtime
even more desirable these days.

Have you tried these little scent bead thingys in your
washer yet?
They are AWESOME.
Throw in some Snuggle fabric softener and
you will have the most incredible smelling laundry.
Seriously.

I picked up this copy of Vintage Style magazine
yesterday and it is so full of
wonderful vintage goodness!

Oh, the homes in this issue...
sigh.

The colors of this room and the WHITE piano are
per-fec-tion.

And then there is THIS house....

Each room filled with re-purposed finds.

I am SOOOOO doing this lamp shade.
Not sure I will use bingo cards but I will
come up with something quirky and put my own spin on it.
Don't you just love getting inspiration from magazines and other
peoples homes???
I know I do.

Our weekend...

Oh, how much I loved this past weekend...
The weather was warm and sunny
and we were able to get outside and do some
much needed work.

We were able to bring out the patio furniture...

Enjoy it a little bit....

Work on our very first garden....
which excites and scares me all at the same time.

And enjoyed the patio a little bit more...
All in all,
it was sooo good.
